About Us

Wujiquan is a rare traditional Chinese Shaolin art taught to Master Chee Kim Thong by the Abbot – Reverend Yik Cha’an Cha’an Sze of the Southern Shaolin Temple. The art pre-dates Taijiquan with it's roots going back several thousands of years in China. It is considered to be one of the jewels of Shaolin being only taught to senior monks and the Chinese royal family.

This art was taught by Master Chee Kim Thong to his disciples from the 1960's until his passing in 2001. Master Han Jin Yuan, disciple of Master Chee Kim Thong taught Chief Instructor Richard Timmis over a period of more than 30 years in the arts of Wuzuquan, Wujiquan, Luohan Ru Yi Quan, Qi-gong & more.

Wujiquan is a system of exercise based on the principles of using correct natural breathing, rhythmic movements and concentration to promote & improve health as well as being a combat art. Movements in Wujiquan are slow, relaxed, flowing and controlled. You will improve your cardiovascular system, blood circulation, relieve arthritis, stiffness in the joints and improve flexibility.  Strength, balance, co-ordination are also developed through practicing Wujiquan.  Wujiquan provides a positive mind & body workout allowing you to cultivate & maintain good health and vitality.
